African American Women as We Age

African American WomenIn connection with its African American Women as We Age Program (AAWA), NCNW conducted public education forums in 2005 in Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. Noted experts in healthy living, financial planning and life satisfaction provided valuable advice to up to 500 women in each city. These forums were the catalyst for local level activities in each community. NCNW also introduced its new publication, "Tomorrow Begins Today: African American Women as We Age."

In 2007, during the months of April and May, NCNW will be targeting four cities for AAWA Community Forums. The proposed cities are as follows:

  • New York, NY
  • Miami, FL
  • Oakland, CA
  • Philadelphia, PA

Please check back to this website for future details.
